XHTML 1.0 : The body's content is handcoded in Dreamweaver with the help of its code coloring and hinting. Ctrl+S Alt+Tab and F5 is the only "WYSIWYG".
JavaScript : A lifesaver after I used it, JavaScript had helped me overcome the inability to modify the CMS (the foundation of the website) and its validator which deletes any <body> JavaScripts. The postloaded JS is responsible for rewriting HTML and giving functions to links. Renaka uses jQuery and 'plugins' such as Color Animation, qTip, and ScrollTo.
Browsers : Tested primarily in Opera, and secondarily in Firefox, then Chrome and Safari in 1920x1200
Adverts : Renaka does not have advertisements for one: it is a personal site, two: it would be ironic to block my own ads, and three: I'd probably only get pennies a month. However, if by some freak chance the site becomes popular enough to make more than a buck a month from ads, then I'd definitely sell out. As of January 5, 2010, I have officially sold out to Google AdSense. On September 2, 2011, I have finally reached $100 earnings for the first time.
Analytics : Renaka relies on Google Analytics and GoStats for collecting site usage statistics. These trackers temporarily record your IP address, the URL or keywords you came from, and which pages you view. These information let me know which pages I should focus on, such as improving popular ones and adding more content to obscure ones.

If you do not want to be tracked (by this site alone, since others may use various other trackers), use your browser or adblocker's filter to block these following URLs and keywords:

If you do not want to reveal the site from which a link was clicked (referrer), then follow these instructions:

Firefox: In the address bar enter "about:config", in the filter form type "refer", you should see a preference named network.http.sendRefererHeader, set its value to 0 and restart Firefox.
Opera: Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced tab -> Network section -> uncheck Send referrer information and restart Opera. I couldn't find similar options for other browsers so please search for it yourself.

Before you become paranoiac and block everything, know that web analytics is commensalistic: webmasters benefit by knowing how their well websites are doing, while the users may also in turn benefit by webmasters consequently serving more relevant content.
